What do you guys think? I love the marble top.
Also, this place used to be a swimming school/health club, so they just shoved a bunch of antiques and old equipment inside the pools.

Did you buy it? It’s beautiful. Is it cracked down the middle?
We bought our bathroom’s vanity because it had a piece chipped off. For a $230 discount, the pieces were still there and just needed glueing

No, just went to look at the stuff they had, I was looking for silverware.
And yes, that is a crack that has been (shoddily) mended.

You find any silverware?
When I moved into my house the old owner had accidentally left behind some pure silver spoons and other utensils. Still have all of it, to sell it later

Yep, a tea set and tray.
Don’t sell it, keep it.

I like the crack! Adds character!

Thanks for the advice. There’s a chance that silver may become an heirloom.

Yep, old watches, jewelry, silverware, china. You never sell those things, they last forever and serve as a good memory for the future generations.
More and more our society is losing the tradesman and artists that are able to create such beautiful pieces, we should keep them.

Yup, there’s definitely a void of good tradesmen/women. My wife and I have discussed this before. If we were to ever have kids (which we won’t), but hypothetically speaking we’d encourage them to do a trade. The world is going to need another carpenter/plumber/electrician much more than it will another desk jockey.

Funny story about an heirloom: My dad used to work for delta airlines and he once found an 18k gold watch jamming a first class seat. That was about 7 years ago, he still has it.

I love it!
